Which Tier Should You Choose?

Choose Economy if your prepaid trip cost is under $5,000

Economy is the entry point: solid cancellation protection for budget trips, $75,000 in emergency medical, and $500,000 in evacuation coverage. It skips the pre-existing condition waiver and Cancel For Any Reason, so it fits healthy travelers taking straightforward, lower-cost trips.

Choose Classic for family vacations and trips up to $50,000

Classic is the most popular tier for a reason: $50,000 in cancellation coverage handles most family vacations, medical coverage jumps to $250,000, evacuation doubles to $1,000,000, and the 14-day pre-existing condition waiver protects travelers managing ongoing conditions. Neither Classic nor Preferred requires a primary health policy to be in force.

Choose Preferred for high-value trips, cruises, and maximum flexibility

Preferred is built for expensive itineraries: $100,000 in cancellation coverage, 200% trip interruption, $500,000 in emergency medical, a longer 21-day waiver window, built-in rental car coverage, and the only tier that offers Cancel For Any Reason as an upgrade. If your cruise or tour has a large prepaid fare, or you want the option to cancel for a reason the policy does not list, this is the tier.

Two Timing Rules That Decide Your Coverage

The waiver and Cancel For Any Reason are the two benefits most travelers miss out on, and both run on a clock that starts with your first trip deposit:

Miss the window and the benefit is gone for that trip, so if either matters to you, buy early.
